Yesterday was a beautiful day on the green as Atlas sponsored it’s Sixth Consecutive Year of the Tee It Up for the Troops. We’re thankful for those that have served, are serving, and will be serving this country.

Here at Atlas, we know the importance of recognizing our employees and thanking them for all that they do for this company. Thus, we hosted the 1st Annual Summer Fest celebration this past week. We had one goal for this event, and that was to show our appreciation for the Atlas employees. We truly understand that there would be no Atlas without our hardworking staff. We wanted this celebration to encompass, in two words, all things “Summer Fun”.

The Human Resources summer intern was given free reign for this summer fest- and she went in the direction of a Summertime Mexican Fiesta theme. It was equipped with Mexican classics like street tacos with a Guadalajaran flare and a mariachi band, fused with summer favorites like a dunk tank and a water balloon toss. The party was knitted together with brightly colored tables and decorations, a frozen drink machine, and outdoor games. For the kiddos, a taco piñata and face painting were the biggest hits of the day! Guests also enjoyed raffles with the chance to win baseball tickets, electronics, coolers, and more.

It was a fun day filled with perfect weather, lots of laughter, and a whole bunch of fun! We were ecstatic to see that even some of our Chippewa Falls folks made the trek to celebrate. Katelyn had such a blast planning this special day and was proud to put on an event that people had FUN at! We cannot thank our Atlas employees enough for everything they do – but we hope this party just scratched the surface of our appreciation.

We recently were a proud sponsor of the “Just Us For Justice” run/walk in Eau Claire, WI. This event promotes Fierce Freedom who is a non-profit focused on the fight against human trafficking and exploitation. At Atlas, we felt that this organization does many great things in this ongoing fight, and we wanted to help make a difference. Over 600 people participated in the run/walk and Fierce Freedom was able to raise over $30,000. With that money they will be able to impact many lives. We want to thank everyone who participated and encourage others to make it out to our next sponsored event!

On Tuesday, June 5th we attended the Chippewa Falls Area Chamber Annual Golf Outing. We spent the day networking with fellow Chamber at the 9 Hole Scramble. While having a great time, we were also supporting area businesses, charities and community events. We are excited to attend more events like this as we enjoy the rest of summer!

On August 28th, Atlas hosted their 4th Annual Customer event at Badlands Golf Course in Roberts, WI.
The day featured a 4 person scramble as well as several other contests and prizes. First place trophies were handed out to the team with the lowest score. The scramble was a great opportunity to get to know customers better while having a blast. A great day of friendly competition and fun!

On August 3rd, we were a sponsor for the Career Development Center’s 29th Annual Golf to Make a Difference Charity Golf Tournament! Each year, the proceeds of this event enable the Career Development Center to continue its work of providing meaningful and appropriate vocational services and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and disadvantages. Overall, it was a great day to play golf and raise money for an amazing cause!

On Monday, August 13th we had the honor of being one of the sponsors of a fantastic event. Tee It Up for the Troops is an annual golf tournament that raises money for veterans. Since 2005 this organization has hosted more than 415 fundraising events in over 40 states. With generous support of sponsors and volunteers these events have raised over $9,000,000 for various veteran service organizations. At this event veterans from all wars, beginning with WWII, were honored, but also the Korean War, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Desert Shield, Afghanistan, and other non-combat vets. A very moving tribute also occurred for two fallen soldiers from Wisconsin. Thank you Tee It Up for the Troops for providing us with the opportunity to participate in aiding this great cause.

On Thursday, July 26th we were happy to participate in the Chippewa Valley Family YMCA Annual Golf Outing! The YMCA provided a day of golfers’ camaraderie in order to help those in need. Proceeds from the Golf Outing benefit the Annual/Strong Kids Campaign. The Annual/Strong Kids Campaign offers financial assistance and scholarships to those who cannot afford a membership at the YMCA. In previous years, this event raised enough for 1,200 individual’s opportunities for exercise, family activities and a positive social environment through sponsored memberships. Thank you Chippewa Valley Family YMCA for putting on this amazing event!

 
On June 5th, we participated in the 2018 Chippewa Falls Area Chamber 9 Hole Scramble. Along with participating in the on-course games, we enjoyed networking with fellow Chamber members, a box lunch and cookout, and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Thank you to the Chippewa Falls Area Chamber for putting on this great event!
 

 
We were very excited to sponsor our first golf outing of the year on May 18th. We sponsored hole 1 at the 6th annual Chippewa Charity Classic 18-Hole Golf Outing in support of the Helpful Hearts Foundation and Jason’s Presents. The Helpful Hearts Foundation eases the financial burden put on families experiencing the loss of a loved one. Jason’s Presents was founded after Jason Zunker, an officer killed in the line of duty. This organization provides a Christmas party for local children complete with gifts, fire trucks, police vehicles, and Santa. We were happy to support our community and these foundations in such a fun event!
